ELIXIR Operations Support Officer
ELIXIR Hub is looking for Operations Support Officer to work on ELIXIR Operations Development, with a fixed term of 2 years. The post holder will implement a range of process developments for managing and reporting on the technical programme that will place ELIXIR on a stronger operational foundation.
Working in the technical team of ELIXIR, but in partnership with the leadership team members of the ELIXIR Hub, the main purpose of the role is to rationalise and implement ELIXIR’s developing suite of processes for technical operations that describe how, for instance, new Nodes are brought into ELIXIR, Implementation Studies are selected and monitored, services are maintained and many others. This will require both technical aptitude for workflow management software and communication skills as you engage with the diverse stakeholders. It is envisaged that this project will take 2 years to complete.
This is an exciting role where opportunities for personal initiative and driving new projects will emerge regularly. You will work closely with stakeholders including ELIXIR Nodes, Platforms, Communities and study leads to deliver this work and will be expected to identify and lead new opportunities for process optimisation.
Senior Engineer, two positions
ELIXIR Norway has two vacancies for senior engineer within the Oslo Bioinformatics ELIXIR team. The team is part of the Biomedical Informatics (BMI) research group at the Department of Informatics (IFI) at the University of Oslo.
The position si suitable for both system developers and engineers, preferably with a background in bioinformatics (although this is not a requirement), as well as strong bioinformaticians with a solid computational experience/background.
