The ELIXIR Hub is a funded partner in the RI-PATHS (Research Infrastructure imPact Assessment paTHways) project. The project will run until 2020 and is funded by the European Union under Horizon 2020. Working with evaluation experts, the project aims to develop a common methodology for assessing the socio-economic impact of research infrastructure. ELIXIR is one of four case studies, along with ALBA, DESY, and CERN.

Director, Data Coordination Centre and Personalized Health Informatics Group

The SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics “Data Coordination Centre (DCC)” and “BioMedIT” in Basel (part of ELIXIR Switzerland) is looking for a Director, Data Coordination Centre and Personalized Health Informatics Group.

The mission is to provide direction and oversight for creating and implementing semantic and technical data interoperability standards, and to manage a network of secure IT infrastructures at Swiss universities (BioMedIT) supporting translational research. To achieve these objectives, the candidate is to lead a team at the DCC, supported by a distributed network of experts at hospitals and universities.

Three research associate positions at SIB Text Mining / HES-SO

The SIB Text Mining group in Geneva is looking for three associate researcher positions. The succesful candidates will help supporting the thread of activities of the group and in particular the following assets: 1. tools to support biocuration, 2. litterature services, 3. infrastructures to support personalized health. FAIRPlus grant awarded

The FAIRPlus proposal, coordinated by ELIXIR, has just passed stage two review and invited into contract negotiations. The project proposal was submitted to the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI), and will see ELIXIR Nodes and other academic partners supporting EFPIA companies and specific IMI projects in making their data FAIR. The expectation is that the project will begin in late 2018 and a formal news release will be issued closer to the start of the grant.

ELIXIR Nodes industry engagement survey

To showcase ELIXIR's efforts in engaging with industry we are planning to write a report highlighting the involvement of ELIXIR with industrial partners which will be released in the end of 2018. This survey acted as a starting point for the report, the results are available on Google Drive.
